May is Physiotherapy Month, bringing awareness to this modality, to help people on their healing journey.

According to the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario:

Physiotherapy is treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness. Physiotherapists get you involved in your own recovery.

People will often seek the support of a physiotherapist after an accident (for instance a workplace accident or car accident),  injury (perhaps a sports injury), some types of illnesses, or pain issues.

After assessing your medical history and your current condition, a physiotherapist will prescribe a treatment plan.  Sometimes a treatment plan will include the application of heat.  In those cases, a Far Infrared heating pad like a Richway Amethyst Biomat can be the perfect tool.

In honour of Physiotherapy Month, Liv Healthy is offering a free 30 minute Biomat session to Physiotherapists, to support them in their health journey, and to assess if it may be a health tool to support their clients.  Sessions take place in the West GTA.
