The Amethyst Biomat® is very easy to clean.  To clean the control unit, you can use a clean cloth, like a microfibre cloth.  If there is something on it, you can consider lightly dampening the cloth to clean it off, but it shouldn’t be necessary.  DO NOT immerse the control unit in water, or wet the control unit with water.

The Amethsyt Biomat® comes with a cotton cover.  The cotton cover can be washed in a washing machine.  Personally, I like to wash it with a natural, unscented detergent.  You DO NOT put the cotton cover in the dryer; simply dry it on a clothes line or drying rack to air dry.

To clean the Biomat® itself, you can clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth.  DO NOT WET the Biomat®.  To sanitize your Bio Mat, you can turn the Biomat® on to the highest temperature setting of 158F and leave it on for 30 minutes or so (after it has reached that temperature).

I also like to put the Biomat® outside in the sunshine on nice days to freshen up and air out.
