Here are the differences between the two models to help you make a decision:

1. Size

The Professional Biomat® is 27.55” x 72.63”         and weighs 25 lbs

The Single Biomat® is 39.37” x 78.74“                and weighs 39 lbs

The Single Biomat® is 1 foot wider than the Professional Biomat® and 6 inches longer.  It fits perfectly on a single bed and is half of a king size bed.

The Professional Biomat® is half of a queen size bed.  I mention this because if you are considering putting a Single size Biomat® on a queen size bed because you want the Biomat® for you, but your partner does not want the Biomat® on their side of the bed, then the width of the Single Biomat® will creep onto their side of the bed.  This will create a bump on their side of the bed along the edge of the Biomat®.

Having a Single Biomat® on a king size bed can work without the Biomat® infringing on your partner’s sleeping space.

“But the Professional Biomat® is shorter than the length of the bed!”  you may be thinking.  Yes, however, unless your feet touch the foot boards, you will probably be fine with the length of the Professional Bio Mat.  If you are very tall, you can pull the BioMat down a bit, so the part that is under the pillow is where it is short.

2. Carrying Case

The Professional Biomat® comes with a large hard shell suitcase for a carrying case. So you can easily travel with it on long trips, visits to friends or family, or to loan it to someone you care about.  The Professional Biomat® is easy to transport.

The Single Biomat® does not come with a case, and people who purchase the Single Bio Mat tend to leave it in one location.

4. Top of Biomat®

This is cosmetic, but the top of the Biomat® on the Professional model is about 80% durable cotton (like a brushed heavy denim), with 20% clear silicon window so you can see the amethyst crystals inside.

The top of the Single Biomat® is about 80% clear silicon window 20% faux leather around the perimeter.
