When you are reviewing Far Infrared Mats, you may be wondering what’s better –  Jade or Amethyst?  And why?

 Richway and Fuji Bio, the company that makes the Amethyst Biomat®, used to make the Biomat® with Jade when the product was first introduced.  It was a fantastic product and provided great results.  

 Richway wants to continuously provide the best products for its customers, so they continue to do research.  They discovered that Amethyst refracts the far infrared rays differently than Jade.  It allows the far infrared rays to penetrate deeper into the body.  Also the energy that is created as the far infrared rays pass through the Amethyst crystals create a pattern that the researchers hypothesize is more harmonious with the body.

 Around 2009, Richway stopped selling the Biomat® with Jade because the benefits of the Amethsyt were more beneficial for their customers.

 This leads me to believe that an Amethyst Far Infrared Mat is better than a Jade Far Infrared Mat.  However, I do also encourage you to look at other qualities as you compare Jade Far Infrared Mats to Amethyst Biomat®.  For instance:

• size (length, width AND thickness)
•  durability
• warranty
• weight (how much crystals are in the mat)
•  temperature range
• EMF blocking
• electrical current (DC like a typical heating pad or AC which is more harmonious with the human body)
