Alkal-life 7000sL – How to test the Alkalinity of the Water

AlkalLife 7000sL

Alkal-Life 7000sL water ionizing system has several powerful features.  Not only does this water system filter the water with an anti-microbial 6 stage filter, but it also has the ability to adjust the Ph balance and ionize the water for added health benefits.  It is ideal to periodically test the alkalinity of the water dispensed by the Alkal-Life 7000 L, to ensure the proper function of the water system.  You can use the drops and the alkaline-acid level colour scale that comes with your water system.

Tips before you test:

◦     Allow the water to flow through the system for a moment before you take a water sample to test, especially if you have just changed the alkalinity level of the water. You will need to “flush out” the water that was created at the previous level.

◦     Use 4-5 drops of the testing liquid that comes with the Alkal-Life system (that’s a little more than what is noted in the manual), to get true results.

What to do if the results are off:

1    Make sure the water pressure is within the Normal range as illustrated in the “wheel” on the LED display.  You will likely just need to adjust the water pressure to be higher or lower at the end of the normal range.

2    Don’t use litmus paper to test – it will give you incorrect results – it’s not accurate. Use the drops provided.

How the water pressure impacts the results:

The Alkal-Life water system is designed to output water at the selected Ph level based on a “normal” flow of water passing through the system.  If the water level is too low, then the water is taking a longer time to pass through the system, altering the level of Ph and ions the water is exposed to.  If the water pressure is too high, then the water passes through too quickly, diluting the Ph level and ionization intensity.
